Hola!!
I’m excited about a new, uplifting conversation I want to share with you.
I was recently a guest on the program, A Life without Violence, by Gracie Murphree. On her show, she tackles how to strengthen families, diminish violence, and build a culture of peace. These are all themes that are so relevant these days, as we face a seemingly uncertain future.
It was such an honor to be able to chat with Gracie because I admire her for the work she does and the big heart she has, as well as the love she has for the people of Honduras. Speaking with her, I was reminded once again of my purpose to serve, help, share my heart and knowledge with each one of you.
In the interview, we discussed in depth my background, the foundations of love in my family—the principles and values that guided us. We chatted about the memories of my father and the inner gifts that he left me with before his passing.
Gracie shared with me how she works with a lot of broken families, absent fathers, abuse, and mistreatments. “I believe that if we have love within the family we can change this country and have a better life,” she told me, before asking me to share more about my beliefs on living with Love.
We dove deeper into this topic. As you know, I believe we can live without anything except without love. Love is something that you breathe, that you live, it changes our lives.
I was also able to share details of my father’s passing—his murder, which was devastating, and so unexpected. I wanted to share this with our listeners because tragedies are often a part of life. You see, I’ve learned that what matters most, in the end, is how we respond to these situations. Do we respond with love, with anger, how do we respond?
Some other themes we discuss in the interview include:
How impactful it is to have a loving, strong family
My perspective on how to build that strong family with love
The wisdom of following divine instructions and do what is right at the moment
My faith, how I hold on in trying times
My take on “Intentional Parenting”
How to demonstrate true love to our children in an appropriate and impactful way
Gracie and I also talk a lot about hope. Because it is something that is so easy for us to lose sight of. I felt so very blessed to have had this hour with Gracie, and talking with you all through this interview, and for being able to share with the people of Honduras.
You will also get to hear who my favorite inspirational writers are, the three authors whose books that help me in my mission to serve you.
I hope that when you watch the interview, you can learn from and take advantage of all the things we are speaking about here. If you apply only one of the things that you have learned here today, it will help you “be the change”.
My main message in this conversation was that we need to always remember, even in our darkest times, to look for the light. There is always a light at the end of every tunnel.
Sometimes we may have to walk with our closed eyes. Yet, we can always be assured that the light is there and that there is hope.
All of us have that seed of greatness, we were all created with love, with the love of our creator. I hope you enjoy this conversation and if you don’t speak Spanish, I hope this article was helpful, and that you feel some of that light, love in your mind and heart today.
Blessings for you always and thank you.
Con Amor,
Alexandra
